About Sign in with NFID Wallet
When you see a Sign in with NFID button on a participating app or website, it means you can set up an account using your NFID. No need to use a social media account, fill out forms, or choose another new password.
Sign in with NFID is built from the ground up to respect your privacy and keep you in control of your personal information. It works on any device and in any browser.
Privacy and security
- At your first sign in, apps and websites can ask only for your profile picture, NFID username, and blockchain addresses to set up an account for you.
- You can use Anonymous Profiles — NFID's privacy preservation service — to create and share a unique, random blockchain address. This lets you create an account with the app without sharing your profile picture, username, or financial blockchain activity. Learn more about how Anonymous Profiles work.
- Sign in with NFID builds a profile only you can track as you use your favorite apps and websites.
- Security is built in to Sign in with NFID with two-factor authentication. If you have it enabled, you can sign in and re-authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or any of your other Passkeys anytime.
Use Sign in with NFID
Once you have an NFID, you can use it to sign in to any application that supports it.
When 2FA is disabled
Opening the magic link received from entering your email address or signing in with Google will authenticate you to your NFID and connect you to the application.
When 2FA is enabled
You can skip the email step when 2FA is enabled by clicking on the button to “Continue with a passkey”.
