When you connect to applications with NFID Wallet, you’ll have the option to do so by sharing your wallet address or connecting anonymously.
Sharing your NFID Wallet address
When sharing your NFID Wallet address, third-party applications can see your balance of tokens (both fungible and non-fungible), and other public activity elsewhere across the ICP ecosystem where you’ve used your same wallet address.
Third-party applications will not have access to the email address you’ve used to create your wallet, nor will they have permission to move your assets or in any way act on your behalf.
Hiding your NFID Wallet address
If you just want to explore the third-party application without connecting your wallet address (or the application simply doesn’t support sharing your wallet address), you can connect with an anonymous address.
Connecting to third-party apps anonymously will make you invisible to the rest of the ecosystem, and therefore makes it impossible for developers to build services on top of your existing data. Only connect anonymously to explore apps, but connect with your wallet address when you want to start interacting with it.
